All about Indigo Bay...

The Bazaruto Archipelago is a group of small islands situated approximately 40 kilometers off the coast of Mozambique. Indigo Bay is situated +/- 600 kms north of Maputo on the western side of Bazaruto Island. The diverse ecosystems contained in the archipelago cater for a wide range of interests. The squeaky white beaches and protected reefs surrounding the Islands support a vast array of game fish, the endangered dugong, different species of turtles and dolphins, and seasonal humpback whales.

Rooms:

Indigo Bay comprises a total of 46 rooms: 24 beach chalets, 20 bay view rooms and 2 suites. Inter-leading rooms are available and all rooms are air-conditioned, fully mosquito screened, with en suite facilities, mini-bar, satellite TV and telephone access. The main restaurant specializes in local Mozambican Portuguese cuisine whilst the living area is a great place to relax with a drink from the bar.

Conferencing:

1 conference room with seating for up to 60 delegates in schoolroom, cabaret, square, boardroom, U shape, Cinema as well as Banquet style. Conference room equipped with wall to wall carpeting, air-conditioning & standard equipment. Standard conference package includes tea/coffee break/s, conference room with set up choice, light finger lunch, note pads, pens, cordials & mineral water.

Activities:

Snorkelling, diving, water-skiing, spectacular sport-fishing for giant black marlin, sailfish and a variety of other game fish, horse-riding, island drives, dune boarding, island cruises, sunset cruises, tennis, mini-golf & destination spa.

Getting There:

Pelican Air offers daily scheduled flights from Johannesburg and in addition 2 flights a week from Kruger Airport to Vilanculos (to clear customs) and to Indigo Bay airstrip. Access directly from Durban to Vilanculos up to 3 times a week also available.
