Day 01
Depart London’s Heathrow on an overnight flight to Johannesburg with British Airways, Virgin or South African Airways.
Day 02
On arrival in Johannesburg you will be met by a company representative, handed your travel documents and assisted to a connecting flight to Nelspruit. On arrival in Nelspruit you will be met and transferred to Nottens Bush Camp.
Nestled in the heart of the private Sabi Sands Reserve, this charming bush camp offers guests a true African experience. Accommodation is in comfortable, en suite chalets and luxury suites set amongst the trees with views of the bush.
Cool off next to the sparkling pool with refreshments from the fully stocked bar, or relax in the shade of the Marula trees on the wooden deck overlooking the waterhole. The theme in camp is a rustic one and the lack of electricity lends to the relaxed and tranquil atmosphere. The superb bird life and excellent game viewing make Notten’s a nature lover’s paradise. Activities range from open Land Rover drives and walking safaris to bird watching safaris.
A typical day starts with an early morning game drive, followed by brunch after returning to camp mid morning. The more energetic may take a walk with the guide whilst others may relax around the pool or sleep of the heat off the day.
A hearty afternoon tea is served prior to the evening game drive, which turns into a night game drive. A relaxed dinner in the summerhouse, the boma or the dining room rounds off a perfect day. Note: Notten’s does not take credit cards.
Spend three nights Nottens Bush Camp on a full board basis including game activities.
Day 05
At about 10h00 after a last game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred back to Nelspruit Airport in time for a flight to Cape Town. On arrival here, you will be met and transferred to the V&A Hotel on the Waterfront.
The Victoria & Alfred hotel boasts ninety-four ultra-large, superbly furnished, comfortably air-conditioned double bedrooms. Each room has a full sized bath, separate shower and a separate w/c. The rooms enjoy unrivalled views of Table Mountain, the city, or the vibrant, working harbour and Table Bay.
Whilst within a few minutes of the City’s business district, the hotel is in close proximity to Sea Point, the Atlantic coastal playground and the Cape’s other major tourist attractions. Combining Victorian elegance with international standards, the Victoria & Alfred Hotel offers superior accommodation in the traditional style of colonial Cape Town.
Breakfast at the V & A is a relaxed affair, aptly complemented by the gentle morning sunshine, which floods into the restaurant. The noonday sun ushers the arrival of lunch, a choice selection of crisp salads and light, innovative dishes, as tantalising to the eye as they are to the palate. As the sun begins to set, fishing boats unload their daily catch of fresh linefish while cocktails are served on the terrace. Dinner is a more notable affair and allows the discerning client to enjoy a universally welcoming selection of modern, international cuisine, providing a lavish and thoroughly enticing experience.
Spend three nights at the V&A Hotel in a piazza facing room on a bed and breakfast basis.
DAY 06
An Avis group B car will be delivered to the hotel today in order for you to explore the city and the surrounding areas. Spend the next two days discovering the highlights of the province, such as the famous Cape of Good Hope, Simonstown and its penguins and also Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was detained more than twenty seven years.
Day 08
At your leisure leave Cape Town and drive to La Petite Ferme in the winelands village of Franschhoek. This drive should take approximately an hour excluding any sightseeing or stopping en route.
La Petite Ferme is set within an intimate, interlacing labyrinth of garden pathways and features five secluded luxury guest suites, each with a personal plunge pool. Stunning interior decoration and modern amenities ensure guests exclusive comfort with an aura of romance and charm.
As one of the more intimate wineries in the Cape Winelands, La Petite Ferme takes pride in delicately hand-crafting its wines using time as its artisan, with constant respect for terroir. International accolades accredit the winemaker's precise attention to detail and a selection of wines is available for purchase at the farm.
La Petite Ferme Luxury Lakeside Lodges are set high on the northern slopes of the magnificent Franschhoek Mountains in a beautiful garden that extends upwards into the Cape's unique Fynbos. Overlooking a trout-filled lake and Franschhoek's charming village below, it is the ideal setting for a relaxing weekend of leisure. For those who wish to escape city life and experience the sheer joy of silence, beauty and unassuming simplicity in a charming country retreat, the lakeside lodges are an ideal destination.
Spend two nights at La Petite Ferme in a superior vista suite on a bed and breakfast basis.
