20 Degre Sud - Mauritius

20º Sud is tucked away in a small coconut grove on the water's edge between Grand Baie and Pointe aux Canonniers, in the northwest of the island. It is the only hotel in Mauritius that is both small and luxurious.; with only twenty nine rooms and suites,  the property offers the quiet luxury of a colonial beach residence. The décor has been chosen exclusively from the Belgian decorator Flamant. and each room has been individually decorated to create a home from home atmosphere.

The hotel has a charming restaurant serving breakfast with no time limit in the morning as well as lunch and an a la carte dinner menu. The bar provides a marvellously comfortable meeting place to enjoy a selection of fresh fruit juices, traditional rum cocktails and an excellent selection of wines.

20º Sud has a lovely outdoor fresh water swimming pool (heated in winter) with a view of the sea. The hotel enjoys a small, private white sandy beach with deck chairs and thatch kiosks, the swimming is excellent. and this is an excellent area in which to enjoy windsurfing and catamaran sailing. The hotel can organise a host of tours and excursions for guests and Grand Baie is a mere five minutes away across the bay.
