Thanda Game Lodge - Thanda Game Reserve - KwaZulu Natal - Interior - South Africa

Situated in northern Zululand, Thanda Private Game Reserve is a celebration of the Zulu people and their rich culture. Not only will guests have the opportunity to learn more about their history and traditions, the people from the adjacent tribal land will benefit in many ways from the creation of Thanda Private Game Reserve. Born from a dream to create harmony between man and nature, Thanda is an exclusive hideaway and gives new meaning to ultimate luxury. Thanda is set on 5 300 hectares of land and has a main lodge, tented camp and wellness centre in a Big Five setting.

The nine luxury bush villas have private bomas, private splash pools, viewing decks, lounges, fireplaces and full bathrooms with both inside and outside showers. Thanda's bush wellness centre offers a variety of therapies to ease life's daily stresses.

Vula Zulu, a traditional homestead situated next to Thanda has been created as a platform for African theatre. Between 50 to 100 warriors trained by a Zulu prince and a choreographer perform age-old dancing rites, as was done prior to and after battle. Thereafter, a traditional meal is served. Vula Zulu contributes to the sustainment of Zulu culture through job creation and maintaining an ongoing interest in Zulu heritage.
