Londo Lodge - Quirimbas - Mozambique

Londo Lodge is a private boutique beach lodge in northern Mozambique with a unique combination of bush and beach. Abundant coral reefs and ancient baobab trees meet on the Londo Lodge peninsula.

Facilities include a private beach and mangrove beach-bar, eclectic restaurant, cliff edge swimming pool and spa, library and a cigar bar.

Accommodation at Londo Lodge is in seven spacious, octagon villas with an ocean-view guaranteeing complete luxury and privacy an amazing combination of modern luxury with traditional building. Each ocean-view villa is built on a 7 metre high cliff overlooking the majestic Pemba bay. The villas have outside teak decking, louvered 3 meter wide doors and traditional bamboo and thatch roofing.

All villas are fitted with handmade British mattresses, Belgian bed linen, indoor and outdoor bathrooms, handmade chrome taps and showers, draped mosquito nets and air-conditioning units. Eclectic in design, the villas have a delicate look & feel where Moroccan art blends in with traditional Maconde woodcraft and Victorian mirrors.

There are beautiful coral reefs and guests can snorkel or dive with the lodge PADI instructor. Game-fishing and fly-fishing are available as are mangrove river trips, waterskiing and canoeing in a traditional dug-out.

The Quirimbas National Park has virgin baobab bush with vast areas of woodlands and pristine bush that are the playground of numerous small game animals and the stage for chorus of hundreds of species of tropical east African birds singing their songs.

Dining at the resort is a culinary treat of fresh grilled local fish and prawns, crayfish and crab. Quality South African meat and a mixture of African and Asian dishes will guarantee an eclectic experience of delicious food. Wining at the resort is a journey through the wine routes of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek; top of the range South African wines are supported by the largest collection of single malt whiskies in the country and can be enjoyed from our first floor cigar bar hovering above the Londo Lodge bay.

24-hour personal catering, private lunch on secluded beaches, sunset dhow dinner and bush breakfast are all part of the authentic Mozambique experience.
