MAHE ISLAND [Seychelles]

Mahe, measuring 28km long by 8km wide is the largest island, cultural and economic hub of the Inner Islands and gateway to the Seychelles. With a backdrop of towering 1,000m granite peaks, it is home to the International Airport and the nation's capital, Victoria.

90% of the Seychelles total population live on the island and reflect its ethnic and cultural diversity descending from African, Indian, Chinese and European populations. It is the seat of government and the chief centre of commerce. Mahe is the transportation hub for island-hops and day excursions to neighbouring islands and all other islands within Seychelles.
